Easter – celebrate with friends and family
Posted on January 23rd, 2025 by Sproxton Hall Cottages
Brighten up your winter by looking forward to Easter amongst the daffodils in beautiful rural North Yorkshire.
Sproxton Hall Cottages are 4 unique country cottages set in beautiful open countryside on the edge of the North York Moors National Park / Helmsley / Howardian Hills National Landscape.
The daffodils in Helmsley will brighten up any April day, and the famous Farndale daffodils are perfect for an afternoon out. We can suggest some quieter walks where we have discovered wild daffodils in previous years, and we have planted more this year here at the cottages.
Book a single cottage or bring family and friends – with four adjoining cottages you can relax and catch up with a group of up to 17 guests. Dogs are welcome and can run free in the enclosed exercise paddock.
Feel refreshed after a long winter and make memories whilst discovering somewhere new – there’s something for everyone…
Families love Flamingo Land, Castle Howard, Scarborough, the moors steam railway, and Go Ape (Dalby Forest).
History buffs enjoy York whatever the weather, Rievaulx Abbey and Whitby. Nunnington Hall and Castle Howard are within easy reach.
Dog owners appreciate Farndale and its daffodil trail, the far reaching views on walks at Sutton Bank, and country walks along the bridleway at the end of the drive. With miles of quiet forest trails and an exercise paddock on site, your dogs will be ready for a snooze in front of a log burner.
Foodies relish the Michelin rated options at Harome, Olstead, and Helmsley. Malton is the food capital of North Yorkshire and Betty’s cafes are a must for afternoon tea.
Everyone enjoys a stroll around Helmsley – sampling the dog friendly eateries and microbrewery, one of a kind shops and castle. The National Centre for Birds of Prey will be reopen too.
Why choose Sproxton Hall Cottages? Log burners, historic features, stunning views, EV charger, enclosed dog paddock and onsite parking. As a group, combine the privacy of having your own cottage with the ability to reconnect with loved ones next door.
