A cosy cottage with a four poster bed and historic features
Riccal Dale Cottage is unique and cosy – with a four poster bed, historic old beams and a log burner – perfect for a relaxing stay. The Yorkshire stone walls hark back to the cottage’s earlier use as a barn; look carefully and you’ll spot tiny fossils.
The cottage welcomes up to four guests and two dogs. Downstairs the open plan kitchen/dining area leads into the living room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (a four poster double bed plus two single beds). The bathroom was refitted with a new suite and wood panelling in 2024.
Outside there is seating in the courtyard garden, a BBQ area and a picnic/games lawn.
Dog-friendly cottage
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome in Riccal Dale Cottage. Dogs love a run in the enclosed dog exercise paddocks or along the bridleway at the end of the drive. Less popular is the outdoor dog shower for washing those muddy paws after exploring the North Yorkshire countryside; towels and shampoo are provided. Throws are available for the sofa/armchair downstairs. Dogs are welcome on the upstairs landing but not in bedrooms.
