ACCESS STATEMENT FOR GUESTS

INTRODUCTION
This access statement is for the benefit of guests holidaying at Sproxton Hall Holiday Cottages, Sproxton, York, YO62 5EQ.

PRE-ARRIVAL
Your reservation letter should give you all the information you require but please do not hesitate to contact us if you require further information.

ARRIVAL & CAR PARKING FACILITIES

On arrival, please proceed to the end of the drive where you will find our drop off/disabled parking area.
Please unload all the necessary items from your vehicle and if you do not need the assistance of disabled parking please then park your car in the parking area next to the field with the picnic benches (approx. 100 yards).
Main Entrance, Reception and Ticketing Area.
Names for each cottage can be found to the right of the four doors.

Public Areas:
Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors, Sitting Room, Lounges, Lobbies etc:       N/A

Public WCs:  N/A

Restaurant/Dining Room, Bar/Bar area, Take Away & Café:     N/A

Shop
The nearest shops can be found in Helmsley.   Proceed to the end of the village, turn right at the post box, and then right again at the T-junction and continue for 1 mile.

Treatment rooms:     N/A

Outdoor Leisure Facilities:
BBQ’s, ball games and other outdoor activities can be carried out on the picnic area.

Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting:     N/A

Clubs and Entertainment
Restaurants and bars can be found in Helmsley.   Proceed to the end of the village, turn right at the post box, right again at the T-junction and continue for 1 mile.

Bedrooms and Sleeping Areas
All bedrooms are on the first floor of the cottage with the exception of Rydale Cottage, which is all on one level.   All bedrooms are fitted with carpets and have one roof light and bedside lamps.

Bathroom, Shower-room and WC (en suite or shared)
All cottages have one bathroom with walk-in shower (with the exception of Bilsdale Cottage which has a shower over the bath).   All bathrooms have a toilet and hand basin and non-slip vinyl floors.

Self-Catering Kitchen

All kitchens are on the ground floor, have tiled floors and are located immediately inside the front door.
Water is heated by a combi-boiler so is available by just turning on the hot tap.
All cookers/ovens are electric with ceramic hobs.
Lighting is provided by means of strategically placed spot lights.
Caravans, Holiday Homes and Twin Units:     N/A

Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks):     N/A

Boats and Attractions (Displays, exhibits, rides etc.):       N/A

Grounds and Gardens

For the benefit of disabled guests we provide disabled parking in the area in front of the cottages.   From your car to the door is a flagged path (max 10 flags).
The parking area is of a pebbled nature.
Tables and chairs can be found outside each cottage or on the picnic area, which is approx. 30 yards from the cottages.
Additional Information

We operate a strictly no smoking policy.
Fire information cards can be found on the back of all bedroom doors, showing escape routes and meeting point – the car park.
Dogs are welcome in Kirkdale and Bilsdale Cottages.   No provision is made for them by way of bowls etc.
All cottages have a fridge with freezer box.
Emergency calls can be made to the owner and will be passed on immediately.
